Science
Aligns with several stands and substrands as outlined in the 2019 Minnesota Academic Standards in Science, especially Strand 3, Substrand 1, Standard 1: Students will be able to develop, revise, and use models to represent the students’ understanding of phenomena or systems as they develop questions, predictions and/or explanations, and communicate ideas to others & Strand 4, Substrand 2, Standard 1: Students will be able to read and interpret multiple sources to obtain information, evaluate the merit and validity of claims and design solutions, and communicate information, ideas, and evidence in a variety of formats.

Knowledge Bowl

Math
Aligns with several Anchor Standards as outlined in the 2022 Minnesota Academic Standards in Mathematics, especially Equivalence and Relational Thinking: Use concepts and properties of equivalence and relational thinking to represent and compare numerical expressions, proportional relationships, algebraic expressions and equations & Patterns and Relationships: Represent and connect mathematical patterns and relationships using verbal descriptions, generalizations, tables and graphs. Use representations to generate questions, make predictions and solve mathematical problems.

Social Studies
Aligns with several Anchor Standards as outlined in the 2021 Minnesota K-12 Academic Standards in Social Studies, including Apply geographic tools, including geospatial technologies, and geographic inquiry to solve spatial problems & Describe places and regions, explaining how they are influenced by power structures.
